How To Build A Website

Learning how to build a website is certainly part of any online business plan and there are many tools and methods available to help you along.

The best way, in my opinion, is to use software that makes it easy to get a site online, without the need for learning complicated html coding.

“WordPress” is one of the most popular. It’s extremely easy to use, it’s adaptable to a wide variety of websites, and it’s the software I use the most.

In addition, you’ll want to learn how to use the software to its fullest. While you can learn it on your own, reading endless “help” and “FAQ” files, the best way is to learn from a good teacher.

All of this, and much more, is taught at BRING THE FRESH, one of the best online marketing courses I’ve found.

If you want to go another way though, here are the options:

The least expensive (meaning free) is to using Google’s blogging tool, “blogger,” or WordPress’s free blogging software to start a free blog. However, any serious business person would NOT use these services, as they are known to be used for hobby blogs, that is, individual blogs people are posting to as a hobby. These types of blogs will not afford you the opportunity to have your own domain name. This is a big reason why any free blogging service is not recommended for businesses.

The next option, is to purchase a domain, purchase hosting, and use the free WordPress software to design your site. This software is easy to use and simplistic. This site was designed using this method and it is certainly a valid way to get started building a website and starting an online business.

The third method is to purchase a domain, purchase hosting, and design a full fledged website coded with html. There are many tools and software available to assist you in designing an html coded website. An internet search brings up many, including software such as “Dreamweaver” and “Coffee Cup.”

All of the choices above will get you online and in business. However, they all have one thing in common. You’ll have to learn it all yourself. You have to figure out which software is best for your situation, figure out how to use it, figure out how to implement extras such as email newsletters, shopping carts, auto responders, customer service, etc. For new web entrepreneurs, this can be quite extensive, involving many challenges, sleepless nights and problems along the way.

This course is one of the best website design/online business building courses I have ever seen.
