buidling trustAs online entrepreneurs, we all struggle to build our businesses in the best way we know how. This involves using many internet marketing strategies that have been learned from courses or mentors. However, those that have succeeded have found out the magic button that many others never know or were never taught. That magic button I call

“THE TRUST FACTOR.”

Here’s an important fact to think about that should put this concept in focus for you. Ask yourself this question: “When have I ever bought something from someone that I did not trust?”

The answer is NEVER!

That’s right, you never have, and neither will anyone else. Therefore, building trust is one of the most important things you can do to increase your business. How is this done?

TIPS FOR ESTABLISHING TRUST

  1. Talk About Your Own Personal Experiences: You need to present yourself as a real person – not some abstract nameless person out there somewhere.
  2. Be Truthful: It’s very important to be upfront and honest in any business dealings. Any false statements will come back to haunt you – maybe not tomorrow or next month, but they will eventually.
  3. Show People You’re Just Like Them: After all, you really are. Everyone is a human being, with hopes and desires for the future. If you can do it, so can they.
  4. Include a picture of yourself: This is part of being personable. It really doesn’t matter what you look like (looking at my ugly mug and you know that, right?)
  5. Show Your Mistakes: Being upfront about your mistakes shows your human and communicates subconsciously that you’re an honest person.
  6. Overdeliver Content: The more giving you are, the more valuable content you deliver, the more people will respect, like and trust you.
  7. Be Helpful: The more you help people and solve their problems, the more you’ll establish trust. Don’t ever think you should hold back because of fear of giving away too much. In life, there’s MORE than enough to go around.
  8. Develop Your Own Style: Whether it’s comic, sarcastic, clever, witty, or something else. People will appreciate entertainment in your writing. What you should NOT be is boring, stoic, or bland.
  9. Participate in Forums: The more you participate in forums in your niche, the more you get your name out there, the more people will get to know you and therefore, trust you.

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOU’VE ESTABLISHED TRUST?

This is pretty easy. People will be buying products you recommend. People will be asking you questions. People will come to you for advice on subjects NOT related to your niche.

Here’s a perfect real life example:

In my landscaping business, I established so much trust my clients asked me to….
wash their windows, clean their gutters, shampoo their carpets, and more!

That’s how you know you’ve build trust!
